Privacy Policy

1. What we collect
- Account details: name, username, email, phone, password (hashed), date of birth, gender.
- Profile content: bio, avatar/cover photos, posts, comments, likes, follows.
- Dating data: display name, age, bio, relationship goal, photos, and — only if you choose to enable it — your real-time GPS location, used solely to calculate distance to other Dating profiles.
- Wallet & transactions: voucher redemption records and a ledger of every Wallet debit/credit (what was bought, when, and for how much) — never your voucher PIN or airtime account details beyond the redeemed code.
- Messages: content of direct messages you send through the Platform's inbox.
- Technical data: IP address (hashed where used for anti-fraud on Music plays), device/browser type, and standard server logs.
2. How we use it
- To operate the Platform: your feed, Dating matches, Comedy ticket delivery, Jobs applications, Wallet balance, and Messages.
- To calculate real distance between Dating users from GPS coordinates you explicitly opt in to share.
- To prevent fraud and abuse (e.g. duplicate voucher redemption, fake accounts).
- To communicate with you about your account (e.g. password resets).
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Location data specifically
Your GPS coordinates are only requested with your explicit permission via your browser, only used within the Dating feature, and only shown to other users as an approximate distance (e.g. "12 km away") — never as exact coordinates or a map pin of your location. You can decline the location prompt at any time; Dating still works without it, just without distance shown.
4. Who can see what
- Public posts are visible to anyone; Followers-only posts to your followers; Private posts to you alone.
- Dating profiles are visible only to other age-verified users browsing Dating.
- Direct messages are visible only to the two participants in that conversation.
- Wallet transaction history is visible only to you (and, in aggregate/anonymised form, to admins for platform accounting).
5. Data retention
We retain account and transaction data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period after deletion to meet legal, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations. You can request earlier deletion — see your rights in the POPIA Notice.
6. Security
Passwords are hashed, not stored in plain text. Wallet transactions are recorded in an auditable ledger. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure — use a strong, unique password.
7. Third parties
If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive only your name, email, and profile photo from that provider — never your password on that platform. Voucher redemption is validated internally; we don't share your voucher code with the network operator beyond what's needed to redeem it.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; continued use of the Platform means you accept the current version.
